Day Two Complete!

Oh, my head hurts. They sat me down in a white room and asked me question after question. They ranged from draw a triangle to repeat this sequence of numbers in numerical and then alphabetical order. These were done mentally. For example H4G9CL16. The answer would be 1469CGHL. There were a lot of memory questions. The most daunting part of the test was the time frame. I was there from 9:15 to 2:45 and I haven't even completed the test. The instructor was nice. She let me eat and drink while she quizzed me. However; I cannot tell you how I performed. I honestly think that every single answer I gave she followed with, "Great job. Perfect." Except for I found out what her pen strokes meant. On the instructors document if she circled the question on her sheet I got the question right. If she x'd it, I was incorrect. Halfway through the test she came back in and she told me we had a long way to go and the test didn't have to be perfect. I wasn't being graded. All of the sudden she started flipping the pages before I could answer the question, and there wasn't a time limit. I think my mother had something to do with it. She always wanted me to get a bad grade or get in trouble. I actually enjoyed some of it, and some of the parts dragged on endlessly.

After, I had yet another lab draw. They drew eleven vials of blood. This was also a part of the work-up. I'm going to have a few more tests. They want to test my gall bladder. They found gall stones in the CT scan. Not to worry! It's a side effect of hereditary Spherocytosis. They just want a further look to be safe. Ryan is going in tomorrow! Dr. Adams is going to meet with him and go over the details.

  4. Carolyn,

You are on my mind a lot. Ever since I was a young girl I remember hearing that when someone is put into your mind, pray for them. May God give you peace and comfort as you go through the next few weeks. You are a very strong young woman (you always have been!) and I know your positive attitude will carry you a long ways!
