I had some fun things to share I never mentioned last week due to the circumstances. The day I went into anaphylactic shock I met the UFC wrestler named the Big Show. According to Wikipedia he is 7' tall and 485 pounds. He was extremely sweet. He told us about his twelve year old daughter and he was touched when I introduced Ryan as my donor. It was fun meeting him, but I was glad Allan wasn't there because Allan probably could have taken him down. After all, he hit two home runs and a grand slam in the Arnett/Hammon game. Plus, Ryan got the win in his game! It's been a good week for the Christenson family. It's funny how drastically things can change in a week.
I wanted to say thank you so much for all of the comments. I read them each week with a smile on my face. I can feel the love jumping off the computer screen. I'm so thankful and touched to have everyone taking part in this journey with me.
So close to 100!! i loved counting down in Kindergarden we thought it was the coolest thing everyday to change the # on the wall. I dont know allanis strong but 485 pounds!!!!!! Good for them way to go boys, keeping the Christian name known. I am glad you like our comments because i like typing them! I am glad it was only a tiny step back. Love you mostest!
ReplyDeleteWhew! That was definitely a wakeup to the reality of life and the trials and tribulations. I am soooo very glad to hear it has passed and you are back on track. 100 days coming up! What a milestone Ceci. I look forward to each one. I'm glad that you enjoy our posts as we do yours. Its the only window to you that I have so I cherish each one. I hope to see you and be able to hug you one day soon. Love, Kindra
ReplyDeleteBeen reading your blog for some time now but have never posted anything. Thought I would since I am dissapointed when you don't post. Glad you are better. I will continue to pray for. I can not imagine what a roller coaster of a ride this has been but hope it is worth the wait.
ReplyDeleteI'm grateful to see that my dear friend Nancy Friedman made a post. We first met back in 1977 when we moved to Chicago for Medical School. Nancy is one of the most compassionate women you could ever meet and one of the best physical therapists around! She too has been on many climbs and triumphed in many ways! What a JOY to read that you are improving. Yes, it seems like we have to taste and appreciate "the bitter" to truly appreciate the "sweet" in our lives. Can you imagine how many prayers are sent heavenward many times each day? We know there are many from our home. We fast at least once a week pleading with our Heavenly Father for your complete recovery. So grateful for the wonderful things happening with your brothers too. Can you believe that Flagstaff got 4 inches of snow this morning? Not exactly the kind of April Fool's my grandchildren wanted this morning. . . . .especially since last week was in the 60's. HUGS from WA! Richard and Tamara
ReplyDeleteCeci This has been a busy 2 weeks and finally day 100 is here!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you get excellent numbers today at clinic.Over the years we have learned that "God never makes us conscious of our weakness except to give us of his strength". I am finding that out also as I still grieve for Grandpa. We reverted back to 6 year olds yesterday and colored easter eggs, but it was fun wasn't it? Have I told you today that I love you...........
ReplyDeleteCan't believe I almost missed a post on day 100!!! Congrats!!!! Be proud....you've done amazing!! And....to have day 100 on Good Friday is extra special I think! Remember the advice you told me......you don't have to win every battle to win the war!! I passed that along to a friend of mine who is fighting breast cancer right now too. You are an amazing girl, Ceci! I pray you have your full life back very soon, but God has a special plan for you and a reason for this path.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, Ceci! Aren't we all so blessed that Jesus died and rose again to save us?! I'm praying that your numbers keep going up on their own. This climb has been a long and tough one, but it will all be worth it in the end. God is good! I hope you have a good day and that the Easter Bunny comes to visit you;)
ReplyDeleteLove you and miss you,
Jena
Ceci, I really enjoy reading your posts and everyone else's, too. Seems like we all get to know each other, huh? And we certainly are reminded of the power of prayer! Thank YOU for including us in your journey--we have all been inspired by you. I pray your counts keep climbing. Much love, Kathy & Rexie
