O' Happy Day!

I just want to start by saying thank you. I wish I could hug each and every one of you (I will soon). I will give you ALL of the details later, but I just wanted to fill you in!

Thank you for making today extraordinary. For so many months it has consistently been a struggle. It seemed like struggle consumed my life. Granted, there were always good things here and there that kept me going, but today I was reminded that good days are here again. Days full of more happiness than pain, and tears of joy, not sorrow. Today has made every single one of those hard days worth it. All I could do was smile and thank God for life itself.

Together, we have the power to do great things. I have yet to receive an e-mail or a call from Oprah, but wait till tomorrow when she opens her e-mail to 7,842 new messages about Ceci's Climb and the need for donors in the National Marrow Registry.

Thank you for inspiring me, for believing in me, for praying for me, for loving me, and thank you for joining me in my quest to raise awareness one e-mail at a time.

Love Always,
Ceci

  1. Holy cow!!! Almost 8,000 e-mails?!?! That is soooo awesome!! I honestly got chills yesterday when I was seeing how many people were e-mailing Oprah--people that know you and then those that don't as well! So cool! I'd love to see the looks on the faces and hear the conversations of the people affiliated with the Oprah show as they see these thousands of e-mails! You thanked us for inspiring you...I'm pretty sure we need to be saying thank you, Ceci, for inspiring us!!! Love ya, Jena

We know that we are here on earth for certain purposes. . . . . .Yours definitely is to reach out to others and to educate and helps others fight MDS and to have HOPE. I am in Arizona with my precious children and grandchildren. We consider it a huge blessing to call you friend! Love, Richard and Tamara

  4. WOW! That is awesome! I agree with the other post that you are the one that inspires us and will continue to do so with so many others via Ceci's Climb. I joined the Registry yesterday! I felt go great about it and never would have thought about it before you made me aware. I sent a mass email at work to have them email Oprah yesterday and I had someone come up to me and tell me that they had and also that they signed up on the Registry also! Blessed are we! Thank you beautiful Ceci for being who you are and for having the strength to fight. Thank you for turning the most difficult time in your life into a positive that will save others lives. I love you! Watch out world...here she comes!

  5. Hi Ceci! So nice to meet you. I have just emailed Oprah but I may be a few days late. I'm 34 years old from Australia and have been diagnosed secondary MDS this year. I had Aplastic Anemia about 14 years ago and back then they couldnt find me a donor match. But they have now found me one - a special person form overseas. Hope to have my BMT sometime in the near future. But no rush for me just now.

So glad for you that u look so well! And I hope nothing but the best for you in this endeavour. It is something so important that people need to know about. Take it easy. Lots of luv, Julie
